Rule Changes for Adult Roller Hockey Leagues
Effective: Winter 2008 Season (November 3, 2008)

1.All players, including goaltenders, who fail to sign in on the game sign-in sheets at the office prior to participating in their game, will be assessed a two-minute minor penalty for “illegal substitution”. This penalty may be assessed at any time that the game officials or rink management become aware that a player that didn't sign-in is participating in a game.

2.All players, with the exception of goaltenders, must have recorded their correct jersey number on the game sign-in sheet prior to participating in their game. Failure to legably record their jersey will result in a two-minute minor penalty for “illegal jersey”. This penalty may be assessed at any time that the game officials or rink management become aware that a player is participating in a game without having recorded their correct jersey number on the game sign-in sheet.

3.A player scoring a goal in ANY DIVISION must now report their jersey number to one of the referees immediately after scoring the goal. Failure to report the goal prior to the ensuing face-off will result in a two-minute minor penalty for “failure to report”.

4.Any player who intentionally, in the opinion of the game officials, reports another player's goal as their own, will be assessed a two-minute minor penalty for “unsportsmanlike conduct”.

5.Any penalty assessed against a player for any of the above infractions will count as one penalty towards the “three penalties and out” rule.

The recording in all leagues is just for stats, correct? The 3 goal rule is still in effect only in tin and aluminum?

You are correct John. The rule requiring goal "reporting" in all divisions is so that we can accurately track player statistics. The "Three Goal" rule still applies only to the Tin & Aluminum divisions.
