The Challenge Cup is a series of 3 Qualifying rounds. Each Qualifier is a 3-game round-robin tournament. At the end of the Qualifying rounds, the top 4 teams will play for the Championship. CASH PRIZE for the winning team.
Qualifier dates: Feb. 20-22nd, March 5-7th, and March 26-28th (the last qualifier may be played on the weekend. If you are an out of town team and need a weekend date, please let us know and we'll work with you).
All players on the teams must play at the Bronze (or equivalent) level. For Rivertown, the equivalent divisions would be Aluminum and Brass. For other rinks, please call Rick or Scott at 616-696-8393 or email (hockey@lazerskate.com) to discuss.

Do these teams need to be established teams or a team thrown together specifically for this tourney? |

My understanding is either or. Just need to be at the Lazerskate Bronze level or at the Rivertown Aluminum/Brass level. Give Scott a call if you have a team or even if you want to join a team. I'm sure he can fit the 'grandfather' in to the tourney. I wish I could play in it, sounds like a ton of fun. But I suppose I better put work ahead of fun this time.

I'm sure as in any other Lazerskate function, your roster is of course tentative and you can bring multiple "subs" at any point. Woot, don't whore their stuff on this board. At least you can say that your somebody's biznitch.

The forum on the message board is 'tournaments.' The description is as follows: Announcements, comments, and discussion pertaining to roller hockey tournaments. Enough said.

Well, if I was going to be around this weekend, I'd be all for trying to get Outlaws to come up and play.
Sadly, I'll be in St. Ignace playing in the U.P. pond hockey championships.
